Synopsis
This study group will provide an introduction to the work of the Danish philosopher Martinus (1890-1981). Martinus Cosmology describes and analyses the spiritual laws of life and provides logically motivated answers to the fundamental questions of life. It leads to an optimistic view of life, and it provides the basis for a harmonious and empathic relationship to all people and all living things. In the group we will read, study, discuss and explore the 10 short articles provided for free download on http://www.martinus.dk/layout_pages/index.php?lang=uk. This collection of articles will introduce us to the main principles in Martinus Cosmology: the spiral cycles, the feminine and the masculine principle, reincarnation, the laws of karma etc. It is vital that students take an active part in this study group and come prepared as the group is initiated by a fellow student who wishes to read Martinus' main work "The Book of Life".
Leader: Arendse, 38, born and raised in Denmark by parents who were into Martinus Cosmology. She holds a 5-year degree in art subjects from University of Copenhagen. In 2004 she came to the UK where she is running a mosaic web shop, teaches mosaic courses and takes on mosaic commissions.

Hello and welcome to the English part of the Martinus Forum!
I am preparing for the above mentioned study group, it is the very first of the kind for me, and I should very much like to discuss the articles with the forum, both before and after the sessions in London; and when the time comes (providing anybody comes to the study group at all!) I should like to tie up loose ends between sessions here, because there will be lots of questions that I can't give a great answer to just on the top of my head.
I really sincerely hope you Danes/Scandinavians are up for it, don't be shy, I know most of you speak English very well and read it almost every day. I am preparing a list of useful Martinus glossary for us all (Martinus DA-ENG, ENG-DA), that hopefully will be published within the next couple of weeks. Another helpful tool to get on with writing in English is using the English spell check in Word. It doesn't pick up all the errors, but it does pick up a lot, certainly that has taught me a trick or two.
Obviously, the BIG BONUS of communicating in English is that so much more people can join in. By writing in English you can all help by giving the world the opportunity of understanding what is going on in this forum. The Cosmology deserves it, and so does all the people out there who might be interested!
Tomorrow I shall visit a friend who has agreed to read the articles and discuss them with me so I have an idea of what sort of dialog and questions to expect in the actual study group. We shall start by reading the article "On the Royal Road of Life" followed by "Why Should One Forgive One’s Neighbour?" (for free download at http://www.martinus.dk). Please feel free to join in, read and ask questions to the articles!

Could you tell us about how many there were interested in the study group or was it less succesful.. ???
