The basis for the fulfilment of the mission of Christ, are Christ's own expressions about "the Helper, the Holy Spirit" In St. John's gospel (John 14:26), Christ says: "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send l in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.". [9] Martinus´ interpretation implies, that what the Father would send are thoughts and knowledge about the very highest realities of life, which deals with God's and the human's existence and also the plan of God for love between all living beings. With the return of Christ is meant the Great Birth in the individual. It is the revelation of God's Holy Spirit as a science that encompasses the entire existence of God. This knowledge can only be experienced in full, through that state of consciouness, that Martinus calls cosmic awareness.

Over the last many centuries, there have been many different interpretations concerning how the saying of the New Testament : "for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap" [10] shall be understood, but for Martinus there is no doubt that its essence shall be interpreted in connection to reincarnation and the law of karma. The same also applies to Christ's teaching, here in Matt 7:12: "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them" [11]. According to Martinus, it was in particularly the emotional parts of the human mind that Christ must appeal to, so that thereby humans gradually could lay aside their thoughts about hatred and revenge and start to experience a higher meaning with life.

For a human today, there is to a greater extent, a need for logical understanding of its relationship to the divine cosmos. Such an understanding however, they are not by themselves able to think or speculate to. Thus humanity has a need for a new impulse from Providence or a higher world, where the perfect way of being is a matter of course, and where the solution to life's mysteries are completely recognized. The fact that the human being can progress in development with the help of an impulse from a higher providence, Martinus calls "the principle of world redemption" [12].

Many people were for about two thousand years ago, so advanced in their development, that they were able to receive a divine impulse, which could stimulate their further development by appealing to an emotionally based ability to experience. This impulse was intermediated by Christ, the world redeemer and is called by Martinus the old world impulse. In the same way the humanity of today is now again prepared to receive a new divine impulse, and by appealing to a logical ability of experience, they can be stimulated to understand their own and the earth's level of development or placement in the universe. The beings develop, as the main symbol shows, from mineral forms, through the plant kingdom, animal kingdom and ahead to the real human kingdom. From then on, the road continues across the kingdom of wisdom, the divine world and the kingdom of bliss in whose last part the mineral kingdom is situated. From here on the beings continue their further migration towards new kingdoms. It is not moving in circles, but ahead in a spiral movement, through which they can renew themselves through new experiences. The Earth is located in a superjacent spiral cycle as seen from the spiral cycle in which the human being is at present.

By this new understanding or impulse of knowledge from Providence, humanity gets a possibility slowly and safely, both theoretically and empirically, to study and understand the structure of the eternal world picture. In this divine universe, it becomes possible for humanity to explore and live through the last, hazardous wandering towards cosmic consciousness. It is the same as reaching a perfect way of being, in which feelings and intelligence are in complete harmony at a higher level.

All humans think, feel and act. These manifestations are in reality energy waves, that due to the law of cause and effect, always will return back to their source, whether in this or in some future incarnation. This is what is called fate or karma. This symbol (symbol 16) Martinus describes in its entirety as the living being. Centrally we see a white triangle that symbolizes the I of the being. This self is the solid centre for the sent out and returning movements, whether they are in thoughts, words or action. This is expressed through the violet circular arcs. By this the being acquires the necessary experiences, whereby it develops its consciousness and understanding of what is the meaning of life! Thus, fate or the karma principle is the cosmic pedagogy, through which the individual slowly develops the ability to manifest greater perfectness.

As shown in this symbol (symbol 18), the living entity receives, from life to life, karma waves that have been sent out by itself during this and in previous incarnations. Each single physical life on earth is symbolized by the oblong square orange coloured areas and the development forward is shown in this symbol from left to right. At the same time for the living entity, new karma waves sent out will return back in this or in succeeding incarnations. The development forward is assured since the living entity continually learns through the creation of new experiences.

It will learn, not only from unpleasant experiences, but from happy occasions as well, according to what the being itself has manifested in its everyday life. The karma principle thus shall not be interpreted as one can go backward in development, which is impossible. According to Martinus, karma shall not be interpreted as a punishment, but rather as guidance into whichever area this being might be able to improve itself. Under no circumstances is there any reason to criticise anyone, since all human beings must pass through the animal or the slaying zone of development, in order to gradually become a fully developed genius in neighbourly love.

Symbol 23 shows forgiveness and its great importance for each person, not only in this life, but also for the same person's experience of future lives. The figure of Christ in the centre shows the fully developed human being, which can completely in all areas manifest the ideal way of being. The small triangle symbolizes the living being, while the heart figure symbolizes its perfect ability of love. The two joined hands in the heart figure symbolize its perfect ability to forgive. All forms of dark fate are represented by the orange karma wave that becomes neutralized and through this beings own forgiveness transformed into a fate of lightness represented by the yellow karma wave. Forgiveness attains a much deeper meaning in the light of the principle of reincarnation and cosmology, also for the understanding of future lives. Cosmology, according to Martinus, will during the next millennium, provide inspiration for a development of the human being towards the same realization of the perfect way of being as in Christ. Cosmology shows the logic of the saying of Matt 22:37 (NKJV Bible) "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind" and also in Matt 22:39 (NKJV Bible); "You shall love your neighbour as yourself" [13].

The cosmic analyses show that all humans are themselves the primary cause of that fate which they are involved in. It shows also the development of the humane ability and how it is possible to become free from the returning dark karma or fate. No one can say justly, that it is other people that are to blame or the cause of its own sufferings. It implies that each person must take responsibility for his or her own thoughts, words and actions. These are represented by the dark karma waves, which are sent out in one incarnation and will return back to the same person in this or in a future incarnation. Due to the development of the humane ability, represented by the yellow flames, the dark karma can no longer reach the human being. Over the longer term this is a liberating way out of the dark fate. This also implies that the individual realizes their responsibility toward everyone else, who might be in trouble.

About the fate and the reciprocal actions to others, Martinus writes: "As we see the daily behaviour is a seed one sows, and whose harvest is a part of one's experience in the coming life, one cannot exist outside this". Whatever you do, no matter how we live, your daily life is in cooperation with your surroundings and all the different living beings present therein. These beings are thus a part of our lives; yes they are like drops from the same ocean, the same element. Therefore, they cannot avoid being a part of our experience. These surroundings and the welfare of our fellow beings thus becomes a corresponding part of our own wellbeing or fate. The eternal words: "Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap, becomes a reality" [14].

Where it is most difficult to see the divine in our daily life or it's meaning, is there where people are affected by severe sufferings or even are murdered. Here the explanation is, even if it is harsh to accept, that the affected persons have been the cause of the same amount of suffering to other living beings in this or in previous incarnations. In the same manner as they now must notice the consequences of their previous acts, those beings that inflict these sufferings will also receive the same type of fate, sometime in the future. Whether we think of a large catastrophe or a minor accident, there is no doubt that the involved self is the principal cause of the larger or minor unhappiness that this accident brings. How bad it will be is dependent upon the individual's karma or fate. Here it is a question of how much karma the individual must experience in order to learn from the event that it has been affected by.

13

Of course this is individually set and each one must therefore find out what they must learn from their own situation. The higher developed this being is, the easier it becomes for it to understand the divine speech that is implied in all that happens. From a cosmic perspective, the suffering is however not a negative thing, since it will create experiences for the development of humanity. In this process the limit is advanced for what the person may or may not have the heart to do of discomfort to his neighbour. This humaneness, that the karma principle through sufferings will develop, has as a result, that the individual man learns to differ between good and evil and to do good ahead (instead) of the evil.

The crash of a plane

14

Martinus explains in the cosmology how the expression "forgiveness of sins" can be understood in a deeper sense. A human has through many previous primitive incarnations sown much evil. When, by the experience of its own returning karma, the being no longer has the heart to kill or do evil, this karma is not needed any more. The strong humaneness, which has now been developed, protects him against the old killing karma. In other words, the fully developed humane person's negative fate becomes neutralized, even if it still has people's deaths on its conscience. This is the neutralization that Martinus calls "the forgiveness of sins" [15].

Some persons on this earth in earlier days, had reached such a state of maturity, where only a connection with a higher knowledge could bring them further on in their development. In order to progress further, according to Martinus, the only solution has been that these people would have to incarnate on other, more higher developed spheres, where the solution to life's mystery was laid out in a manifested form. Since it is now for the first time available on this earth in a complete, intelligence-based form, it now becomes possible for humans to gain access to higher cosmic analyses. The fact that cosmic knowledge is made available here on this earth means that the individual now also can here live through the last phase in the development leading toward cosmic consciousness.
